About 8 months ago when I was starting to get my blog together I got an email from the RAINN Speakers Bureau. There was someone that was inquiring about a speaker. So I contacted the person. She emailed me back and explained that she has a blog We Are Unquiet On this blog she talks about her own healing process. Her main outlet is a podcast that she has. She interviews a wide range of people counselors, doctors, other bloggers and now other survivors.
She explained that she wanted to have more survivors on the podcast. I was definitely interested. Trying to coordinate our schedules to be able to Skype was the tricky part. She only does these interviews on Saturdays so it would be the early part of September before we would have our Skype meeting.
That Saturday in September finally arrived. She took the first few minutes to explain the process. We would talk about 45-60 minutes. It was a great interview. Don’t want to give too much away. I will say the theme was “The Monster in the closet”
Brea was so amazing. She had a way of thinking 5 questions ahead to allow the interview to flow seamlessly. After the interview, she explained that she had a great response from the RAINN inquiry. So it would take her a little while to edit all the interviews and begin to get them up on her website. She gave me a timeframe of late February.
A few weeks ago I touched base with her and she told me that the anticipated date would be February 26, 2018. So if this blog is live than that means that her podcast is live. EXCITED!!!!
