A few weeks ago, the leader of our church did a lesson that I thought was powerful. He was talking about that as Christians we do a daily quiet time, our time with GOD. It is a bible study to get a better understand of GOD. He went on to say that when we die we will basically do “The Last Bible Study” This is when GOD will exam us in comparison to the bible.
He will look at our lives to see if we just read and memorized the scripture or will our life look like we lived out the scriptures.
Romans 15:5 May the GOD who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.
Do we truly believe that GOD will give us endurance and encouragement
Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise: give thanks to him and praise his name
Will we have this attitude of thanksgiving when we get to heaven
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
If GOD challenges you will this scripture about the narrow gate what will be your response
Luke 13:24-30 24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’
“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’
26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’
27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’
28 “There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. 29 People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”
How will you respond if GOD shares this scripture with you? Have you made every effort?
John 14:23-24 23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
Have you obeyed GOD’S teaching?
Matthew 25:23New International Version (NIV)
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.Come and share your master’s happiness!’
This is the scriptures that we should work towards having GOD share with us in our Last Bible Study.
To GOD Be The GLORY
