DISCLAIMER-This is a hypothetical letter I could imagine myself reading in a court of law if the violator was prosecuted, found guilty and it is now their sentencing hearing. And I am given an opportunity to read a Victim Impact Letter.
Aviation Soldiers
You took so much from me that day 27 years ago. When I came home from Korea I was a different person. I left so much of who I was in Korea. You probably thought that you left that secret in Korea. But that secret came back on the plane. It just took awhile for the excess baggage to be unloaded.
It makes me sick to think what you did to me that night.You all thought you got away with this horrible crime but today lets you know that you did not. You have been found guilty by a jury of 12 you are guilty. You will serve time at Ft Leavenworth. Behind that 5 foot, high brick wall and the double barb wired fences. This gives me such relief.
This shows me that you should never give up on something. I pursued the possibility of prosecuting and finally it is happening.
I plead with the jury and the judge to give all of you the maximum sentence. That you will spend the rest of your life in a prison cell and you will have that time to reflect on what you did over 2 decades ago.
As I leave this court today I will be leaving all my burdens in this courtroom. Thank you to the judge and jury for hearing me. I pray that my statement will be used in your decision.
