I feel as a Christian I can question God’s Timing. Basically, I am actually questioning why GOD is not making things happen when I want them to happen. I want it more out of convenience. I treat prayer request like ordering a pizza. I expect it to happen in 30 minutes or less. Maybe not that strict.
Basically, though it is like sometimes I start a timer expecting GOD to do something AMAZING in my life before the time starts ringing. I have to remember that GOD’s timing is PERFECT. Especially when it is revealed.
Sometimes GOD reveals something I did not know I was really looking for. About 16 years ago after becoming a Christian, I had a neighbor that I tried inviting out to church. He said No thanks. But he also mentioned that his sister goes to one of our sister churches in North Carolina. I heard him say her name was Kay.
So every time I met someone from that church I asked them if they knew Kay. They always said no. Well then about 10 years ago a sister in the Nashville church moved here. Her name was Faydra. I found out that she use to be in the North Carolina church. So I asked her if she knew Kay and she said no.
Well, I and Faydra became very good friends. One day she invited me over to her house. I was taking pictures of her dog for Christmas cards. I started looking at pictures on the wall. Without thinking I said “Oh how do you know Teddie” She looked at me crazy and said “He is my brother, how do you know Teddie” I told her he was once my neighbor.
She mentioned her family called her Fay. At that moment I realized that all this time I was looking for Kay and actually it was Fay. Faydra was actually the sister I had been searching for. But that is GOD’s timing. If I would have met Faydra and realized she was my neighbor’s sister I don’t think we would have had a deep friendship. Because honestly, I was looking for “Kay” just so I could say I knew her brother. But instead, I met Faydre built a friendship and then realized there was another common bond.
GOD is Awesome. His timing is perfect!!!
