Burn
This song has a romantic and intimate feel of it. I am sure that is how most people would interrupt it. But for me, this song is words of encouragement. To go after something that I want to do. To fulfill a passion that is burning in my soul.
I think as a society was just go through life hum-frum-drum. So going through the motions: Eat/Work/Eat/Family/Sleep Rinse & Repeat. Not a lot of people are going after their true passion and desires.
So for me, that is what this song says. To light the flame and let it burn. Don’t hide it. Show it to the world.
So for me, that flame is this blog. I know I have only been working on it for about 3 weeks now. But it has been my passion, I have been working on it for about 4-8 hours a day. Just to get it going.
I have been on FMLA for about 8 weeks. So I have had time to work on it. But I go back to work in 5 days. This is posting on July 13th but I actually wrote it on June 22nd. I know I won’t have as much time when I go back to work. So that is why I am trying to work about a month ahead so that if I am not able to keep up I will still have some grace period. I am hoping that I can keep this flame burning even when life gets back to “normal”
I have to also remember that even if the flame dies down that does not mean that it is not out. A fire needs fuel (oxygen) to keep going. So to keep my flame burning I will need to keep my passion going.
