After graduating Basic Training I stayed at Fort Jackson SC for my AIT (Advanced Individual Training). I continued to have a problem with Physical Training. The crazy thing is in Basic Training I had issues with Push-Ups when I got to AIT it flipped and I struggled with Sit-Ups. After school, I would practice my sit-ups. Well, there was a guy, BG in my class that was physically fit but he had problems with typing. I took typing all 4 years in high school so that was my strong skill. We made a deal he would help me with PT and I would help him with typing.
I had a crush on BG, I thought he was nice looking but I knew all the girls in our class swooned over BG. So I knew I did not stand a chance to catch his attention. I just stayed with helping him and him helping me. We built a friendship. That is what I admired about the time we had together.
I was so proud the day I graduated from AIT and was headed to Camp Humphrey. I had another obstacle behind me and a new friendship. Take Care. Much Love
