My Story
Hi, I’m Dana.
A life of traumas began to be a presence in my life from as far as I can remember.
- I had verbal abuse throughout my childhood
- I was molested when I was 10 years old
- I was raped by a family member when I was 13 years old
- I was gang raped in the Army when I was 19 years old
- I was in a relationship for 12 years that was verbally, emotionally, mentally and physically abusive
For many years I attempted to move pass the abuse and traumas in my life. But I realize that until I dealt with them I could never 100% move on.
So after a decade of therapy, I am at a point in my healing process that I can share my life journey in hopes of helping others.

I don’t have any “formal” education but I have my Ph.D. from the University of Hard-knocks. I may not have all the answers, I can guarantee that I have a listening ear & a praying heart. To GOD Be the GLORY

- Walking with GOD is the center of my life
- I am the proud mom of 2 adult daughters.
- I have a Havanese dog named Duke that thinks he is royalty
- I will trade jelly for pancake syrup on my peanut butter sandwich any day
- Hearing the national anthem brings tears to my eyes and proud to have served my Country.
- I am that table for one. I love going to the movies and dinner by myself
- If I don’t lose my keys, wallet or my mind every day it ain’t a normal day
- I am not afraid to use deadly force if someone touches my Grippos potato chips without permission
- I get excited when the leaves change colors because that means I can indulge in all things pumpkin spice
- I take friendships seriously
- Taking a nature hike is my definition of paradise
- If a song ain’t got that twang it ain’t my thang LOVE Country Musak
- I have 2 guys and a girl that I am in love with and they call me Mimi
- Hearts are my favorite shape
