A Believer or A Follower

Throughout my walk with GOD I have heard 2 distinct words to describe someone who has a relationship with GOD. Believer and Follower.

So it got me thinking what is the difference between the 2. So of course I googled the 2 words to get definitions

Believer a person who believes that a specified thing is effective, proper, or desirable

Follower an adherent or devotee of a particular person, cause, or activity:

a person who supports and admires a particular person or set of ideas, a person who moves or travels behind someone or something

So a believer is someone who is devoted to something and a follower is someone who is active in moving toward something.

I feel a believer is active in being devoted but they could just be staying in one spot.

A Follower is active in moving forward and getting closer to something.

So as a Christian it is important to not only believe in GOD but to follow his teachings and to be more like Jesus.

So I chanllenge you. Do you want to be a believer of GOD or do you want to be a follower??
